Why did we develop *AgriGard***™?

The Problem

‍Every harvest season, farmers across Australia face the devastating risk of harvester fires — losing not just a million-dollar machine, but their entire crop, their livelihood, and in some cases, the land itself. The causes are well known: slipping drive belts, overheating bearings, smouldering crop dust and the critical "heat soak" period after engine shutdown. Yet until now, no purpose-built solution existed to catch these threats before they became problematic.

The Mission

‍IgniSense Pty Limited set out to change that. Working in close collaboration with the Western Australian agricultural community and fire experts, we developed AgriGard™ — the world's first integrated monitoring system designed specifically for combine harvesters. Our goal was simple: give farmers the early warning they need to stop a fire before it starts.

‍Trialled and proven in the punishing heat and dust of Western Australia, AgriGard™ delivers six-zone precision monitoring, instant in-cab alerts, and a 90-minute post-shutdown Watchdog mode that keeps watch long after the operator has left the paddock. The result is a system that protects your asset, preserves your harvest, and gives you something no other system can — time to act.
